VTsIOM continues to poll Russians on the topic of video games. According to the organization, only 26% of citizens approve of this hobby.
VTsIOM interviewed 1,600 respondents over the age of 18. It was about who of the family members has been interested in games lately. 41% of respondents said that children and grandchildren play in their family. 8% of Russians have a spouse who is fond of games.
Note: people from 25 to 34 years old most often stated that no one in their family plays games. Such respondents — 61%. A third of young people also stated that their brother or sister is a gamer (at the same time, the respondent himself could share their passion).
Now — as for the attitude to games. 17% are indifferent to the gaming hobby of their household. And 26% of respondents positively perceive that there is a gamer in their family. Most of these respondents are young people.

- development of logical thinking (10% of all respondents);
- stress reduction (8%);
- increased intelligence (also 8%);
- improved reaction (6%).
But 58% of respondents do not want their households to have such a hobby. The harm of video games is most often claimed by people over the age of 60 (if we take the age indicator) and women (if we take the gender category).
