Facebook has opened access to new advertising formats, including native video clips, to customers of its own Audience Network advertising network. The creators of the social network told about this in a blog for developers.

According to Erika Washburn, a software developer and author of the article, over the past six months, the number of applications using native advertising has increased 5 times. The effectiveness of such advertising exceeds the performance of traditional banners by seven times, according to the social network. Video advertising support is designed to increase these numbers.

Innovations include not only native video. Publishers will have access to dynamic ads, click-through interstitial video ads, and carousel ads. To do this, they need to update the Audience Network SDK to the latest version. When creating ads, publishers are offered to rely on a set of recommendations from MediaView.
