Games with screaming little men depicted on their icons are more popular than others. The Israeli marketing platform ironSource came to such conclusions.

The company’s analysts made this observation after studying the gaming charts.
“If you look at the top 50 games, there are surprisingly many titles that use the image of a character with an open mouth and visible teeth,” notes Omer Kaplan, co-founder of ironSource.
It is possible that the reason for the prevalence of icons with screaming little men is that they are used by two popular games – Clash of Clans and Game of War. Perhaps the others are just guided by them.

ironSource will test the assumption about the effectiveness of “screaming” icons by launching its own game with the same icon – Ruby Run.
The project was developed by the company’s gaming division, ironLabs studio.

ironSource Company is the owner of the eponymous platform for advertising games and mobile applications.
According to its own information, it provides up to 6 million installations per day to various projects in total.
