Apple is becoming more democratic. The company simplified the process of checking applications with minor violations and allowed developers to propose changes to the App Store rules.

Back in June, during the WWDC20 conference, the American corporation promised to make concessions to developers. Two months later, Apple did announce two key changes.

  • The company will no longer delay application updates due to the fact that they violate minor store rules. Instead, developers will be able to get rid of violations in the next application. The indulgences will not affect games with legal problems.
  • In addition, developers can now not only appeal decisions about violations, but also propose changes to the App Store rules themselves. According to Apple, such an innovation should help the company better understand the needs of developers.

The old rules of the store have been criticized more than once. Recall that Apple is involved in a lawsuit with Epic Games, which accused the corporation of monopoly policy in response to the removal of Fortnite from the App Store.
