At the Siggraph conference, Nvidia demonstrated how the new Epic Games engine – Unreal Engine 4 – works on the latest graphics chip for mobile devices from Nvidia.

The new chip supports the OpenGL 4.3 specification, that is, mobile devices get the same wide hardware graphics playback capabilities that are created for games on PCs with DirectX 11 support and next-generation consoles.

It is based on the Kepler graphics architecture, which is powered by the latest generation of PC graphics cards. It was with the help of this architecture with a performance of more than 2.5 teraflops that Unreal Engine 4 high-end demo videos were created.

This means that developers now have the opportunity to create cutting-edge cross-platform games for various types of devices, including tablets, smartphones, Windows, Mac, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
