The charity company Playmob and the Finnish developer Rovio have announced the launch of a joint charity event.

It is attended by games of the Angry Birds Epic series. Each time buying “Lucky Coins of Good Deeds” for $3.99, the user donates $1.40 in favor of the Room to Read initiative.

Playmob states on its website that it has already managed to raise $28,000.

The funds raised during the charity campaign will be used to teach reading and writing to the population of Asia and Africa, as well as to reduce gender inequality in education in these regions.
