– Saint Petersburg, Russia – i-Free Company, as the organizer of the 10th Mobile VAS & Apps Conference, the largest conference in Eastern Europe in the field of mobile industry, presents the key speakers of the event.
The tenth anniversary conference will bring together more than 500 specialists from around the world. Experts and reputable professionals of the Russian and global mobile market will make about 30 reports and hold six round tables on topical issues of the development of the mobile industry in Russia and the CIS countries.
The first session of the conference will focus on the promotion of mobile applications in the North American, South Korean and Russian markets. This session will feature presentations by Ralph Simon, CEO of Mobilium Global, Founder and Honorary Chairman of MEF Americas, and Nathan Millard, an expert on the South Korean market, Director of International Partnership beSUCCESS. The session also includes a report by Alexey Pronichev, head of the Samsung Multimedia Solutions center: he will talk about the possibilities of mobile distribution through Samsung, the world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer.
The next session will focus on issues related to the most popular mobile content today – games and non-gaming applications. Among the speakers of this session: Phil Larsen – co-founder of Halfbrick, Marianna Kryakvina – Head of Marketing at Creative Mobile and Dmitry Filatov – CEO of Shopface.
A separate session will be devoted to the strategies of mobile operators in the new market conditions. Ekaterina Ogneva, head of the department of information and entertainment services of Beeline, will share her experience of cooperation with Google. Valery Galushka, head of the department of interaction with content providers of MTS, will talk about OTT (Over the Top) technology and strategic features of working in the modern market, and Andrey Kushnarev, content and media director of Megalabs, will talk about the opportunities that his company provides to developers, as well as sales of applications through storefronts of operators.
The discussion of operator strategies and changes in the market related to the adoption of amendments to the Law on Communications will be continued at the round table, which will be held by Nadezhda Antsiferova, Chairman of the Association of Mobile Service Providers and Content.
In addition, on the first day of the conference, November 21, will be held “Exhibition of Mobile Projects”, where young companies and startups will present their innovative products to publishers and investors. A series of blitz presentations will be held from 16 to 18 hours.
On the second day of the conference, November 22, the Mobile Trends Forum will take place: it will focus on the most relevant trends in the mobile industry. The first session of the forum “New Mobile Platforms and Interfaces” will be attended by: Bernd Schulze – Director of Business Development at Qualcomm Europe, Jostein Svendsen – CEO and Co–founder of WeVideo, Robert Boal – Director of Innovation at BBG and Romuald Zdebsky – Head of Technology Strategy at Microsoft: he will talk about touch interfaces in mobile devices and game consoles.
At the next session of the forum, the problems of investments in the mobile industry will be discussed. Among the speakers are investors from Silicon Valley (USA), Japan and Europe: Mario Tapia – founder of MobileMonday Silicon Valley and Momentum Accelerator, Joe Jacin – Managing Director of DNA Partners, Kei Shimada – Director of Business Development at Dentsu, Harry Koponen – Senior Advisor at Rovio, Pavel Bogdanov – General Partner at Almaz Capital.
The forum program includes a special session dedicated to payment solutions based on mobile technologies and NFC. Boris Kim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qiwi Bank, and Kristina Stoyanova, Head of the Yandex Interface Development Department, will make presentations here.Money, Kirill Gorynya is the co–founder of i-Free, as well as Ergi Schoener, Business Development Manager in South–Eastern Europe, MasterCard Europe. Ergi will talk about NFC products created by MasterCard for the mobile operator Turkcell, which today ranks first in the world in the practical use of NFC solutions in the cellular network.
The topic of payment solutions will be continued at round tables, which will be attended by representatives of Visa, MasterCard, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Qiwi Bank, Pay Pal, Beeline, MegaFon, TKS Bank, Tavrichesky Bank, etc. The panelists will discuss mobile payment services and forecasts for the development of this market segment in the near future.
