December 12, 2013, Moscow, Russia. – Channel One, together with partners in SMS voting in the musical TV project “Voice” – i–Free company, mobile operators “Beeline”, MTS, “MegaFon” and the group of companies “Red Square” – decided to transfer the funds received from SMS voting in the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals of the competition, to help seriously ill children. The musical show “The Voice” has won great recognition among Russian viewers.

Hundreds of thousands of people actively vote for the project participants by sending SMS messages in support of them.

Last year, Channel One, together with its partners in organizing audience voting, sent the money received from the semi-final and final SMS voting in the Voice project to charity – providing medical care to children in need of expensive treatment.

This year, the proceeds from the audience voting in the two quarterfinals of the contest (December 6th and 13th), the semifinals (December 20th) and the final, which will be held on December 27th, will be donated to charity.

Commenting on this action, Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov, CEO of i-Free, said: “Transferring money via SMS is the easiest and most convenient way for most people today to participate in charity, allowing them to raise a significant amount in a short time and help specific people. Therefore, just like last year, we readily responded to the initiative of Channel One: there is no doubt that viewers who send SMS messages in support of the contestants will be happy to help children waiting in line for expensive treatment.”

I-Free Company is a technical partner of the Voice project: it provided a short number 4447 for SMS voting and phone numbers. The cost of an SMS message is about 50 rubles. (including VAT), depending on the mobile operator, the cost of a call to support the participant is 42.48 rubles. (including VAT).

Detailed information about the TV project “The Voice” is published on the official website of the project.
