The survey was conducted by 386 developers.
More than half of this number (54%) work in large studios, and 20% work in “microstudies”. These are teams where the number of employees is 10 or less people.
Women (16% of the total number of respondents) earn less than men by an average of $2.4 per year.
At the same time, developers from the United States receive more than their counterparts in Europe. The average salary of a specialist from the States is $71.9 thousand.
More than 65% of respondents expect that wages will increase in 2016. Only 3% of respondents fear a reduction in wages. Almost the same number (66%) of developers reported a salary increase in 2015. Earnings decreased in 5% of respondents. 82% of respondents feel confident in the future.
Recall that Sergey Galenkin conducted a similar survey the other day. As of February 2, the average monthly salary of a developer was $1,020 (or $12.24 thousand per year).
