As a result of the deal, Teskin Games became part of the publisher’s casual division.
Despite this, it will continue to work independently of Voodoo.
The studio is going to spend the money received on hiring new employees and developing its gaming portfolio.
“We are pleased to invest in Teskin Games, which will help it accelerate growth in the casual games market. Ilya and Lior [Ilya Tesler and Lior Gluskin — founders of Teskin Games] have created a strong, highly efficient and purposeful team with an impressive track record of successful puzzles and match-3 games. Together we will take another important step towards achieving our mission — to entertain the world,” Alexander Yazdi, co—founder and CEO of Voodoo, commented on the deal.
The fact that Voodoo began to be interested in casual games became known in October. Then a hyper-casual publisher announced the purchase of another Israeli studio — Beach Bum. The amount of the transaction was also not disclosed, but according to approximate estimates, the size of the acquisition could amount to $ 250-300 million.
Teskin Games was founded in 2018. The main office of the studio is located in Israel, besides it there is also an office in Ukraine. The developer’s most famous games include projects such as Jewels Planet, Jewel Empire and Candy Deluxe.
