The Chinese giant Tencent decided to support developers from Russia. The holding invested in Beryoski, a new studio that was opened by the authors of the tactical RTS “Partisans 1941”. The size and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

All employees of Alter Games studio, which developed a game about partisans, moved to Beryoski.

Alter Games itself will continue to work, but now as a support studio for Partisans 1941. She will also continue to interact with Daedalic Entertainment, the company that published the game.

Beryoski is already engaged in a new original project, but what it will be about is unknown. Now the studio is looking for additional developers to join its team.

“We are focused on creating original and ambitious games and are very pleased that our partner is one of the leading technological and innovative companies in the world — Tencent. This cooperation will allow us to accelerate development, expand the team and focus on the project,” said Anton Martyshenko, co—founder and creative director of Beryoski.

This is not the first time Tencent has invested in Russian game development. Earlier this year, she, along with Gaijin Entertainment and GEM Capital, invested in another Moscow studio — Mundfish, the authors of Atomic Heart.
