The Buchman brothers, the founders of Playrix, invested money in the publishing house “Committee”. In total, the company, which includes the publications TJournal, DTF, vc.ru and the Coub service, received $ 2 million for the development of its platform.Information about this appeared on June 3 on the websites of the “Committee”.
At the same time, the valuation of the publishing house itself as a result of the transaction is not disclosed.
The money was received during a new round of investments. The LVL1 fund, owned by Lev Leviev, participated in it, which increased the already existing share in the “Committee”, as well as Igor and Dmitry Bukhmans. The founders of Playrix, among other things, bought part of the shares from employees and partners of the publishing house.
The Buchmans invested in the “Committee” because the platform shows stable growth, and his team successfully combines different models and technologies. “We hope that due to investments they will accelerate the launch of functionality for users, services for companies and new projects,” Igor Bukhman said.
Recall that the publishing house “Committee” was founded in 2014 as a result of the merger of TJournal and vc.ru (then the portal was known as “Zuckerberg will call”). In 2016, the company launched the DTF website dedicated to the entertainment industry (games, movies and music), and last year the Coub video service joined the “Committee”.
