The Finnish Supercell hits factory has made a major investment. She became an investor in the young indie studio Metacore (formerly Everywear Games), which has just released the game Merge Mansion. This is a project that resembles Homescapes in its core, but at the same time differs in the original match mechanics. In total, Supercell invested $29.4 million in the team.

Most of it — $17.6 million — was given as direct investments. The remaining amount goes as a credit line for the global launch of their title and attracting users.

According to the developers, the game showed excellent results at the pre—launch stage – the retention of the 30th day among the first users was 24%.

The Finnish studio also explained the reasons for changing the company’s name from Everywear Games to Metacore. “Our approach is based on the elaboration of meta — key game elements that force the user to return to the game again and again, said studio CEO Mika Tammenkoski. “Meta was a key factor in the creation of Merge Mansion, and we will continue to use this approach in the development of other games.”

Metacore currently employs 15 employees. However, after the investment, the company plans to expand the staff by another 10 people.
