Swedish publisher and developer Stillfront Group is expanding its gaming portfolio thanks to the takeover of two studios at once. Stillfront Group acquires 100% of the California studio for $150 million, of which $71 million will be paid in cash and another $79 million in shares.

In the case of Sandbox Interactive, Stillfront Group expects to gain a foothold in the PC market and especially in the genre of free-play MMORPGs. The publisher can also help the Berlin studio with the launch of the mobile version of Albion Online, which is scheduled for release on iOS and Android in the first half of 2021.
