The launch of the beta version of the ProGuides platform led to a revision of its concept. The creators hoped to make it a training esports training ground. But they found that she was capable of more.

According to the original plan, ProGuides allowed ordinary gamers to learn from professional and semi-professional esports players.  As a result, it was not newcomers who picked up on it. Many experienced players came to ProGuides who wanted to compete with the same pros. So the playground turned from a training to a competitive one.

“Now our slogan is “play with professionals”. Over the past two months, more than 5,000 matches have been played on the site,” says Sam Wong, founder of ProGuides.

In the seed round of financing, the startup raised $ 1.9 million, TechCrunch writes. Now matchmaking is being improved on it, which selects opponents by rank and skills. At the same time, professional esports players are paid for each match. On average, they charge $10. ProGuides takes 25% — or a little less in the case of especially popular players.

Currently, about 250 regular pro players are available on the site. They earn $750-$2500 a month. In fact, they all train other players, but games in the “pro vs. pro” format are held no less often.

Note that disciplines such as Fortnite, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros., CS are available on the platforms:GO and Hearthstione.
