As part of the agreement, MY.GAMES received a controlling stake in Bamboo Games and paid the publisher $2 million.
Later, the company promises to transfer some more money, but does not yet name the exact amount. Its size will depend on the indicators of Bamboo Games.
Note that MY.GAMES has owned a minority stake in Bamboo Games since last October.
“In October 2020, we invested in Bamboo Games, and during this time the team has achieved excellent performance, releasing a new commercially successful release every month. MY.GAMES expertise in midcore games and the experience of Mamboo Games in hyperkage form a symbiosis that allows you to produce successful projects in the hybrid-cache genre. We are well aware of how important flexibility and mobility are for the hyper—casual direction, therefore, for our part, we will contribute to the scaling of the company’s business as much as possible and give access to all the advantages and resources of an open partner environment,” Vasily Maguryan, CEO of MY.GAMES, commented on the deal.
Bamboo Games was founded in 2020. At the moment, there are more than 30 games in her portfolio. The most famous of them are Shift Race and Billion Builders.
This is the second MY.GAMES deal in September. Two weeks ago, it also became known about investments in the Spanish The Breach Studios, the developer of Assassin’s Creed and Ghost Recon. The company invested €3.5 million in it.
