MGVC, the investment arm of MY.GAMES, has announced fresh deals. The company decided to support two studios at once: Square Triange and Talerock. In total, she invested $2 million in them.
In return, MY.GAMES received a minority stake in each studio with control options.
“The teams of both studios have been formed for a long time and have managed to work on several projects. I am sure that our partnership will help achieve excellent results and lead to successful releases,” Nikita Matsokin, Executive Producer of MGVC, commented on the investment.
A little bit about studios
- Square Triangle is a distributed studio whose employees work all over the world. The main team was formed back in 2018, but the studio officially opened only in 2020. She is currently working on a casual sports PvP simulator. Its release is scheduled for 2022.
- Talerock is a Moscow studio founded in 2017. There are 17 people in her team. Talerock is responsible for the development of the Grimshade tactical RPG, and she was also engaged in art outsourcing. At the moment, the studio is working on a free-to-play mobile game in the hidden object genre. The company is going to announce the project next year.
MGVC actively invests in game studios. She has made 12 deals this year alone. In just four years of operation, the company announced 49 deals. As of September 2021, MGVC has invested 6 billion rubles in video games.
