Keywords Studios Group of companies continues to buy game outsourcers. This time she became the owner of the Romanian AMC Ro Studio, which made art for such games as Marvel’s Spider-Man, Call of Duty and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The size of the transaction is €2.8 million.

Keywords Studios will transfer the money in two stages. First, he will pay € 2 million in cash, and a year after the transaction is completed, he will give another €800 thousand in his own shares.

According to the head of Keywords Studios, Jon Hauck, the purchase of AMC Ro Studio will help the group of companies expand its range of services for game publishers and developers. Also, thanks to it, the group will be able to strengthen its position in the Eastern European market.

Such deals are not uncommon for Keywords Studios. The group is trying to become a platform of technical and creative services for global game development, so it regularly buys game outsourcers. Over the past year alone, it has acquired seven companies: Heavy Iron development Studios, Climax Studios and High Voltage Software, Indigo Pearl PR agency, Maverick and g-Net Media marketing firms, and Jinglebell Communications recording studio.

AMC Ro Studio specializes in creating 2D and 3D layouts of characters, weapons, vehicles and the environment. Among her clients are major gaming companies like Sony, Activision, CD PROJEKT, Wargaming and Zynga. In 2020, the studio earned €2.3 million.
