Startup Ziva Dynamics has closed the seed round of financing. The authors of the tool for creating realistic characters raised $7 million.

According to Crunchbase, a total of $10.4 million has been invested in Ziva Dynamics over the 5 years of its existence. The co-founder‘s venture fund became the leader of the last round Mail.Ru Dmitry Grishin’s Group Grishin Robotics along with Toyota AI Ventures and New Horizons Fund.

It is noted that the startup will use the raised money to close key vacancies, develop its technology and marketing.

Canadian Ziva Dynamics has released software for creating 3D characters with a realistic complexion. It allows you to gradually recreate the skeleton, muscles, skin of people and animals, writes 80.lv .

The technology is used by more than 100 studios in the film industry and game development. So, Ziva Dynamics helped with the creation of virtual heroes of “Game of Thrones” and “Captain Marvel”.

The company’s management mentioned that the tool is involved in “large titles for next-generation consoles.” It does not name examples of such games.
