The Portuguese gaming market regulator (SRIJ) reported on the first three months of 2026. It announced that the total gross gaming revenue of the iGaming market in the country amounted to €323.7 million for the quarter, which is a 13.7% increase compared to the previous year.
The main source of growth was online casinos. Their revenue increased by 20.3% year-on-year to €204.2 million, accounting for 63.1% of the market.
Revenue from sports betting rose by 4% to €119.5 million—this accounts for 36.9% of the total revenue.
It is worth noting that Portugal's iGaming market has been earning over €300 million for the second consecutive quarter. Nonetheless, its revenue in the first quarter of 2026 was 4.1% lower than in the record-breaking fourth quarter of 2025.
