The slot-specialized studio RubyPlay has agreed to purchase 100% of the shares of the B2B platform Splash Tech. The deal is still pending regulatory approval, and its financial terms have not been disclosed.
With the acquisition, RubyPlay plans to expand its portfolio beyond slot content: the company will add jackpot draw technologies and free-to-play solutions for online casinos and sports betting. Once the deal is finalized, RubyPlay's partners will also gain access to Splash Tech’s capabilities.
Splash Tech was founded in 2020 by entrepreneur Adam Wilson. Previously, Wilson also founded the startup Bookee, which developed a sports betting application positioning itself as the ‘Tinder for betting’ due to its unique interface features.
