Playtech is uncertain about the future prospects of the white-label business of the online bingo operator Sun Bingo. During a conference call with investors, CFO Chris McGinnis announced the launch of a strategic audit.

According to McGinnis, in April 2026, the remote gambling tax in the UK increased from 21% to 40%, which could render Sun Bingo's operations unprofitable.

Nonetheless, Sun Bingo, as the top manager noted, remains an important part of Playtech's portfolio, as it aligns more closely with B2B characteristics, despite direct interaction with customers.

In 2025, Playtech's total revenue declined by 10% to €763.6 million. Revenue from B2C alone dropped by 20% to €78.5 million, primarily due to the sale of Happybet in Germany. Revenue from B2B decreased by 9% to €688.3 million. The company's EBITDA amounted to €197 million, down by 9%.
