The bookmaker and owner of the crypto-casino BetHog has successfully closed a Series A funding round of $10 million. It also announced the launch of a new B2B venture, Sentient Studios, for online casinos.
The round was led by venture capital firms Will Ventures and RockawayX. In addition to them, PCV, 6MV, Bullpen Capital, and Advancit Capital also invested in BetHog.
BetHog plans to use the funds to develop its proprietary AI dealer technology, which it will offer to other online casino owners as well. According to BetHog's CEO, Nigel Eccles, six months of testing the technology showed that AI dealers were "10 times more popular" with operators than real people. Moreover, they provide a higher level of player retention and satisfaction.
With this funding round, the total investment in BetHog has reached $16 million.
