All incorrectly working assets will disappear from the Asset Store. A message about this appeared in the official Russian-speaking Unity user group.
Assets that are not suitable for the current version of the engine will be deleted: when downloading such assets, a message about poor compatibility with Unity 5 appears.
The company promised to get rid of those assets that are “obsolete or of very poor quality.”
The “clean-up” will take place in September. Until that time, sellers are recommended to study each of their assets and make the necessary adjustments.
Unity also announced the ability to set a price for a major asset upgrade. This means that it will be possible to sell two versions of the same asset at different prices. The option will become available only if the asset has been in the Asset Store for at least a year. Details can be found here.
