The Israeli studio with Ukrainian roots Whaleapp has a record — the total downloads of its games have exceeded the milestone of 40 million. Moreover, more than half of the installations have been collected in the last three months.
According to Ziv Kitaro, Whaleapp Product director, BlitZ: Rise of Heroes, released on November 9, played a major role in the rapid set of downloads. He also highlighted the good dynamics of Hidden Hotel and Family Zoo.
BlitZ: Rise of Heroes is Whaleapp’s first midcore game. Previously, the studio worked only with casual projects. The game is a classic collectible battler (with heroes of different rarity and gacha).
According to Whaleapp, today it is the most successful title of the company both in terms of downloads and revenue. Moreover, among all the projects of the studio, it shows the highest satisfaction of gamers.
According to the studio, now 100 thousand active users play BlitZ: Rise of Heroes every day. Its retention rate is 10% higher than that of the five key competitors (who are we talking about, it is not specified, but most likely there is RAID: Shadow Legends among them), and ARPDAU is 50% higher.
BlitZ: Rise of Heroes is available on Android and iOS. In the first quarter of 2022, Whaleapp plans to release it on PC. It is assumed that in the future it will be possible to play BlitZ: Rise of Heroes on any platform.
Whaleapp was launched in 2018. It was opened by Ilya Turpiashvili, co-founder of Plarium, as well as Lev Mechnik and Sergey Portnoy. At the moment, the studio is one of the most profitable gaming companies in Ukraine (according to Whaleapp itself).
