The mobile action game War Robots from the Russian Pixonic team has already received 100 million installations on all platforms. A year ago, this number was less than half.

War Robots (originally Walking War Robots) was released in April 2014 and is one of the most successful domestic mobile games, now the team is working to launch the game in China.

As Pixonic CEO Philip Gladkov recalls in a Facebook post, at first the game developers had a very hard time: “there were not enough resources and people, the team was tiny.”

“Now the tasks have become bigger, and they are much more complicated in their own way than before. The team has become much bigger and there is a responsibility to millions of players. 100 million installations – we tried for a reason, there were crunches and long holivars for a reason, sleepless nights for a reason. And it’s also cool that so many developers drew inspiration from War Robots when creating their new projects and we have always appreciated such recognition from the industry,” writes Philip.
