Rovio has announced a spinoff of the classic Angry Birds series – Angry Birds Stella. The game will appear on mobile storefronts this fall.
From the announcement published a couple of hours ago by Rovio, it is clear:
- The new game is aimed at a female audience;
- All the main characters (birds) are female characters;
- The birds are still fighting with pigs;
- Monetization relies heavily on telepods;
- The gameplay is not much different from the classic.
At the same time, it is unclear how, apart from a total redrawing, Angry Birds Stella will differ from Angry Birds.
Along with the release of the game, Rovio will launch cartoons about the adventures of Stella and her friends.
For the first time, Angry Birds Stella became known last February.
