German publisher and developer Flaregames, known for its Royal Revolt series, has announced a sequel to Zombie Gunship. The release of the title under the working title Zombie Gunship, Inc. is scheduled for 2016. This is reported by the publication Pocketgamer.biz .
Flaregames will publish the game, and the project will be developed by the same people who created the original Zombie Gunship – the American studio Limbic Software. Eric Froemling, who previously worked for Pixar as a visual effects artist, will join the team.
According to the management of Flaregames, the game will be “far ahead” of existing mobile projects and will demonstrate the graphics of the “next generation”.
Resource Pocketgamer.biz assumes that the game will be distributed under a shareware model.
Let’s add that the original game, Zombie Gunship: Gun Dead 3D, was released in 2011. The player’s task was to shoot as many zombies as possible from the plane. The shooter was relatively successful: for almost a whole year it was in the top 100 of the American App Store both in terms of downloads and grossing. In total, he gathered an audience of 36 million.
