Distributor Limited Run Games boasts a major achievement. Three days ago, the pre-order of the physical reissue of Scott Pilgrim vs started. the World: The Game — Complete Edition. During this time, the game was ordered 60 thousand times.
This was written on Twitter by the head of Limited Run Games Douglas Bogart (Douglas Bogart). According to him, the release of the game was the most successful in the company’s history. He also noted that the Nintendo Switch version of the game was particularly popular.

The pre-order for the new edition of the game in the Scott Pilgrim universe opened last Friday, January 15. According to Bogart, within three hours from the start of sales, players bought 25 thousand physical copies for Switch, and by the end of the day this figure had grown to 40 thousand copies sold.
Reach the mark of 60 thousand pre-orders Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game — Complete Edition managed by Sunday evening. This edition included 45 thousand copies for Switch and another 15 thousand copies for PS4.
Recall that the digital version of the game was released back in 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360, but since 2014 it has not been sold on any of the platforms due to license problems. About the reissue of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game fully started talking only last fall. Then Ubisoft announced an updated version of the title for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia (release date — January 14, 2021).
Limited Run Games has announced the release of a boxed edition of “Scott Pilgrim” in early January 2021. So far, there are game options available only for Switch and PS4, but in the future the company plans to launch a version for Xbox One as well.
It is worth noting that Limited Run Games itself is a small distributor that specializes in reissuing previously exclusively digital games in physical format. As a rule, we are talking about indie projects and their limited editions.
