No, today is not the first of April. Epic Games, which has developed games such as Unreal Tournament and Gears of War, has posted its first full-fledged mobile game, Tappy Chicken, a clone of Flappy Bird, on the App Store and Google Play.
The description of the application says that the project was created to demonstrate the flexibility and ease of use of Unreal 4. The game was developed by one artist without “traditional programming skills”. The game fully supports the Game Center functionality on iOS, and on Android – leaderboards, achievements and AdMob.
It seems that every day game development tools are becoming more and more accessible. Only yesterday we wrote about a service that allows you to make your Flappy Bird without programming in the browser, and now you can do it in a much more serious editor.
