Among Us attracts not only the attention of gamers, but also the authorities. In Kazakhstan, a security check of the game was carried out after messages appeared in parental WhatsApp chats that the InnerSloth project allegedly leads to suicides.

The fact that the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan instructed to check Among Us became known yesterday. The reason for this was several audio messages that began to spread in messengers.

On one of the recordings, a female voice asks parents to remove Among Us from children’s phones if they play it. According to the author of the message, the game “gives terrible tasks”, and it “leads to suicides”. As “proof”, an example of a schoolgirl who allegedly hanged herself after playing the InnerSloth project is given.

As a result, the Ministry of Information and Public Development of Kazakhstan conducted an inspection and found nothing illegal in Among Us. At the same time, the authorities also reminded that the responsibility for the social life of children should be borne by the parents themselves.

“It is not possible to identify what kind of correspondence is going on between the participants of the game. In this regard, the Ministry is not able to draw conclusions about the presence of any illegal content, including signs of inducement of the participants of the game to suicide,” the ministry said in its conclusion.

It also became known that for the first time those same audio messages began to spread in Russia last week. It is not known which region they are talking about, but it is unlikely that the women who recorded them live in Kazakhstan.
