The other day, Shake Spears! was relaunched on the App Store and Google Play. The game was the first Russian project launched jointly with LINE.
The original game was released in July 2011. Then she was at the top of the Russian free and box office tops for a week. She wasn’t so lucky in the USA. The game briefly entered the free Top 60 and box office Top 130.
In 2012, Shake Spears! She returned to the top of the Russian free apps chart a couple of times, visited the Top 50 in Japan, but then “disappeared from the radar.”
As it turned out, the developers were redesigning the game to restart together with LINE.
“We first started talking about a joint project with LINE almost two years ago,” Alexander Dubrovin, Sales and Marketing Director at Alawar, told us.
Most of the changes in the new version from the original game, not counting, of course, the close integration with LINE, are related to the UI and servers.
“We have done a lot of work on reworking the interface, monetization, redesigned the server part of the game so that it can withstand enormous loads – we are ready for hundreds of millions of LINE users to start playing our game every day,” Alexander said. – “In fact, LINE ShakeSpears! – this is a completely new game, which is connected with the original version only with mechanics and art.”
