More than a year ago, Deep Silver, the publisher of the Risen, Metro, Sacred and Saint’s Row game lines, announced its plans to enter the mobile market. A few months later, he acquired Fishlabs. And now the first joint release is just around the corner.
The first mobile game to be released simultaneously under the Deep Silver and Fishlabs brands will be a port of the Secret Files: Tunguska adventure game. The original title was released in September 2006 and told the story of “an attractive mechanic Nina, who, together with her friend Max, investigates the sudden disappearance of her father.”
At one time, the project claimed to be another “Siberia”, and it came out on the wave of new projects by Benoit Sokol (in the same 2006, his Paradise appeared, a year later – Sinking Island). However, they met him, to put it mildly, with restraint (the rating on metacritic is 66%). Critics scolded the game for its “lack of innovation.”
How exactly Deep Silver FISHLABS will transfer the game to mobile platforms is a big question. Now Microids and Big Fish mainly specialize in porting old quests, which, to be honest, carry out the transfer “carelessly”.
The mobile version of Secret Files: Tunguska will be released on iOS in June. The game will be distributed as a paid application – for $4.99.
