Bandai Namco reported on the first successes of the RPG Tales of Arise. In the first week of sales, the title sold over 1 million copies. Thanks to this, sales of all games in the series exceeded 25 million in more than 100 countries.

As Bandai Namco noted, Tales of Arise has become the fastest-selling title in the Japanese franchise. The publisher took into account both physical and digital copies.
Tales of Arise is already the 17th game in the Tales of series, the first part of which was released in December 1995 for the SNES. The new project tells the story of two heroes, Alfena and Shion, who are representatives of two divided peoples.

The game performed well on Steam. Four days ago, its peak online exceeded 60 thousand users. This is the best result of the series on PC — the last two parts, Berseria and Zestiria, were able to attract only 8085 and 9696 simultaneous players, respectively. Also, Tales of Arise became the best-selling game last week in the Valve store.
This result was achieved, among other things, thanks to the translation of the game into 11 languages. For the first time, Bandai Namco started localization of the Tales of series in 2019, which allowed to significantly expand the franchise’s fanbase around the world.
The publisher also plans to develop the series on mobile platforms. In August, the company announced a new game Tales of Luminaria for iOS and Android.
