A trial launch of the new Rovio game took place. The title is called Battle Bay and has nothing to do with the Angry Birds franchise.
The new title is announced as a MOBA. Players – singly or as part of a guild – operate small boats and try to sink the same boats of opponents. The user is offered a choice of one of five characters. To open up new opportunities, you need to pump up the hero.
Despite the fact that Rovio themselves refer the game to MOBA, the project reminded us of the casual World of Tanks in the sea setting.
At the moment, the project is available in Canada and in some countries of Europe and Asia.
Let’s add that Battle Bay is not Rovio’s first attempt to launch a game unrelated to birds. Last October, the company launched match-3 with Shakira in the title role, and Plunder Pirates was published in 2014. And then she allocated a special publishing division LVL11, under the label of which she launched the arcade Retry.
