A game based on MMORPG Dofus will appear on tablets. This is reported in the official press release from the authors of the original title, the French studio Ankama.
It is unknown exactly what changes are waiting for the game. So far, its creators have reported that the title will receive an “updated interface” and that it cannot be synchronized with the browser version.
“Transferring MMO to mobile devices is a problem from a technical point of view, because there is a lot of content in the game. Dofus on tablets will give beginners the opportunity to get acquainted with the game, and will help experienced players to rediscover it,” shared Alexander Enklaar, head of the games department.
In addition to Ankama, the Tokyo Wizcorp team will take part in the development. We recall that the French bought it at the end of last year.
Note that this will not be the first appearance of Dofus on mobile devices. In 2011, a shareware title Dofus: Battles in the tower defense genre and a paid game of the same name were released on iOS and Android. And in 2012, the release of the second part took place – it no longer had a free version.
Dofus itself recently turned 10 years old: she appeared in 2004. Ankama produces comics, action figures and an animated series based on the game.
