One of the creators of Doom, John Romero, promised fans “a shooter that no one has ever seen before.” This became known from an interview that the veteran gamedev gave to the Develop Online resource.
In addition to the fact that the shooter will become “unprecedented”, nothing is yet known about the new project. The author himself comments on the news like this: “I don’t want to talk about it, because it’s a very cool idea, a unique idea.” Romero also added that the project is based on an interesting story.
Earlier this month, Romero released an updated Doom E1M8 level. Later, he called it “warming up” before developing a new title.
