Last year turned out to be a good one for Doom Eternal. According to a former id Software product manager, in the nine months since the release, the shooter has earned more than $450 million.

David Saunders wrote about this on Linkedin. But most likely, it was only about the digital income of the title. The fact is that back in January, SuperData analysts shared similar information. According to their calculations, the revenue of Doom Eternal in the “figure” by the end of 2020 amounted to $454 million.

Doom Eternal was released in March 2020. During the first weekend, the shooter managed to break the franchise record for initial sales. Then Bethesda did not disclose the title’s earnings, but noted that it was twice as high as Doom (2016) in the same period.

Digital sales of Doom Eternal in the premiere month also exceeded the results of its predecessor. As SuperData noted, in March the title sold 3 million digital copies sold. This is three times more than in the first month of sales of Doom (2016).
