Activision has announced the Skylanders Battlecast project. This, like Hearthstone, is a collectible card game.
The similarities with Hearthstone don’t end there. Skylanders Battlecast is made based on the Skylanders universe (Hearthstone, recall, beats the Warcraft setting). The title will be shareware. Players will have the opportunity to compete with each other or with the computer.
The new project is distinguished from Hearthstone by the presence of not only virtual, but also real card decks. They are integrated into the gameplay, that is, the user will be able to buy a card, scan it and then use the character in the game.
Skylanders Battlecast is scheduled for release next year. It will be released first on tablets – just like Hearthstone did at the time.
Recall that the Hearthstone CCI was released on mobile devices in 2014. The developer of the game was Blizzard, and the publisher was Blizzard Activision (which has owned the brand since 2007 Activision).
