Soon, on July 9th, a conference "Game Industry" will take place in Moscow. We provide detailed information about the event's program.

This year, Moscow's "Game Industry" will be held at a new venue — the InfoSpace Event Hall located at 1st Zachatievsky Lane, building 4. It is situated in the city center, near Gorky Park.

The event will run for one day across three streams: two tracks will be devoted to lectures, and another one will be specifically for round tables. Participants will include representatives of leading Russian-speaking game companies, expert organizations, and platforms.

Let's focus on some discussions:

  • The founder of the investment syndicate GameXCap and WN Media Group, Pavel Ryaykkonen, will host an investment breakfast. He will discuss his launched initiative and address current challenges facing both funds and indie teams seeking financing. Note: A ticket to the "Game Industry" is not required to attend the investment breakfast, but the number of seats is limited — only 15 people will be able to participate;
  • Andrey Orfani, Senior Project Selection Manager at the Internet Development Institute (IRI), will organize an AMA session dedicated to the prototype contest;
  • Founders of Steel Balalaika Studio, Sergey Kuzmin and Nikita Khiletin, will talk about creating the real-time strategy game Broken Arrow;
  • Gleb Durnovo and Sergey Shaposhnikov from Lipsar Studio will share the case of "Sparta 2035": how the game was developed, what mistakes were made, and what lessons were learned;
  • The CEO of KORO.GAMES, Vladimir Korobeynikov, will shed light on using mobile analytical approaches in Steam. His observations will be illustrated using the co-op game Friendly Steps as an example;
  • Ivan Sidorenko from Astrum Entertainment will talk about the marketing strategy for Throne and Liberty and the role of guild interaction;
  • Daniil Kolesnikov from HeroCraft will offer tips on working with mobile stores: from page design to game support;
  • Anatoly Zholnerkevich, CEO of Creative Anatoli Studio, will discuss the specifics of the vertical series segment;
  • Natalia Trubacheva from Funzen Games will address the economics of game creation in her presentation. She will explain how to eliminate unnecessary features to preserve budgets and teams.

The conference will also feature a game exhibition from indie developers. Those wishing to participate should submit an application (applications are accepted until July 2nd) and write a motivation letter about their project. Authors of the 10 best games will receive free showcase entry, while others can purchase a special ticket for a symbolic amount of 5,000 rubles.

Accompanying the exhibition is an indie pitch — a presentation where independent teams will showcase their games to experts and receive valuable feedback. Selection for the indie pitch will be conducted separately. Applications are accepted, as with the exhibition, until July 2nd.

The "Game Industry" in Moscow will also feature an expo zone with sponsor booths. Among them are "Yandex.Games," Salary.cab, i-Legal, CloudPayments, and Loot Games.

The conference will conclude with a game dev party for premium ticket holders. It will take place at the Loft Moskva restaurant on Bersenevskaya Embankment at building 6, structure 3. "Yandex.Games" will sponsor the party.
