The Japanese gaming market reached $9.6 billion by the end of 2014. It grew by 4% compared to 2013 thanks to mobile. This is written by analyst Serkan Toto with reference to a study published in the gaming publication Famitsu.
In the study, the gaming market refers to both the games market and the game console market. Of these, mobile, that is, games for smartphones, feature phones and tablets, account for $5.8 billion. This is 18% more than in 2013.
