In 2015, the size of the gaming market in Russia will pass the mark of $ 1.3 billion. This is reported by the Newzoo research agency.
The market, according to Newzoo forecasts, will show an increase of 3% compared to 2014. This means that Russia will retain the 12th place in the list of the largest gaming markets in the world.
Newzoo also provides other statistics. There are 59.5 million gamers in Russia, of which 30.8 million or 52% are paying. The average user spends $40.95 per year, which is slightly lower than the same value in Eastern Europe.

The company believes that the Russian market, although it has suffered from the currency crisis, will show growth and by 2018 will reach the size of $ 1.5 billion.

For example, J’son & Partners Consulting recently published a study according to which the volume of the Russian gaming market has already amounted to $ 1.63 billion, by the end of 2015 it will reach $ 1.76 billion, and by 2018 – $ 1.89 billion.
