The data only concerns the USA. For her research, Newzoo studied the behavior of American players in 17 franchises in the “casino” genre. It turned out that over the past six months, 46% of users have paid money.

Newzoo does not separate mobile apps from online games in its research. Statistics are given in general by genre. However, the analytical firm notes that the conversion rate in the casino is not higher than in the mobile audience as a whole. In December last year, Newzoo reported that the share of paying mobile players is on average 46% of the total. This is 10% higher than in 2012. Then only 36% were spent in games.
