Marketing agency Zenna Apps has published an infographic on the mobile gaming market in Russia. Among other interesting figures there is a forecast for 2016. By the end of the year, the mobile segment of the gaming market will reach a volume of $707 million.
Zenna Apps shares information about Russian mobile players. Almost half (49%) of them belong to the age group from 21 to 35 years.
The marketing agency also provides statistics on platforms. More than half (56%) of gaming sessions on Android account for casual games. Downloads from Google Play increased by 25% over the year.
“At the time when we were preparing the infographic, the store was more casual. But now strategies, action RPG have taken a prominent place in the App Store and Google Play grosses,” commented App2Top.ru infographic Inna Ushakova, CEO of Zenna Apps.
The infographic has figures for the app market as a whole: by the end of 2016, it will grow by 186%. Russia ranks 5th in the world in terms of the number of downloads on iOS, and 4th in terms of the number of downloads on Android. 26 million mobile devices were sold in the country in 2014.
And finally, the marketing agency tells about the favorite genres of Russian players – these are casual games, arcade games and puzzles.
