The new cooperative adventure by Hazelight Studios is selling multiple times faster than the studio's previous games. Josef Fares' team announced that they sold one million copies of Split Fiction just two days after the game's release.

For comparison, A Way Out, which debuted in 2018, took about two weeks to reach the one million mark. It Takes Two, released in 2021, sold more slowly at launch, reaching one million copies in four weeks. Currently, both games have sold 11 million and 23 million copies, respectively.

It's unknown how Split Fiction's sales are distributed across platforms. However, according to SteamDB, a significant portion of the game's audience is on Steam, with 259,000 players playing concurrently at its peak.

Split Fiction was released on March 6 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
