The annual revenue of the French publishing house increased by 12% compared to 2012. Most of the sales – 33% – came from EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa).
The company’s sales share in North America was 27%, in Latin America – 19%, in the Asia-Pacific region – 20%.
The annual growth turned out to be slightly lower than predicted. Gameloft explains this by postponing a number of releases, as well as the fall in the exchange rate of developing countries and the United States against the Euro (with a more stable economic situation, the growth could be 16%).
Sales of Gameloft games for smartphones and tablets increased by 36% over the year. Now they are responsible for 66% of the company’s revenue. In 2012, this figure was much lower – 54%.
The total MAU of the company for games for smartphones and tablets at the moment is 160 million.
One of the most successful projects of last year for Gameloft was Minion Rush.
