Since October 16, advertising banners have appeared in the mobile version of Odnoklassniki and the mobile application of the same name, Vedomosti reports.

The first client of the advertising service was the Russian Sberbank. He posted banners on the social network with a link to his iOS and Android apps. They can already be seen by users in their news feed.

How effective it will be is a difficult question. 

As Vedomosti writes with reference to LiveInternet.ru , the daily audience of mobile Odnoklassniki in September amounted to 16.5 million. We are talking here about users who log into the site directly through the browser.

For comparison, as of September, the average daily number of such Vkontakte users, according to the same LiveInternet.ru , amounted to 15.6 million.

One can only guess about the number of users of native applications of these services.

Anyway, traffic generation of both mobile resources is weak. At Vkontakte it is 7%, at Odnoklassniki it is slightly less – 6%. For comparison, Twitter has it at 28.4%.

So it’s definitely too early to run and pay for advertising in Odnoklassniki. 

By the way, according to Vedomosti, Pavel Durov said that after the launch of the advertising exchange network, mobile advertising will appear in Vkontakte.
