Publishers are once again “turning their faces” to hardcore players. In their latest research, SuperData analysts attribute this to the oversaturation of the social and mobile markets.

Another important factor is also the emergence of a new generation of consoles on which publishers want to “light up”.

SuperData also found an increase in the conversion of regular players to paying in social games (in the USA). If in September 2013 it was 1.9%, then in March it was 2.3%.

It’s funny, but the conversion rates of one of the main players in the social gaming market – Zynga – are below market, they are 1.7%.

As for King, with a slight increase in the mobile audience in March (by 0.3%) and a drop in the number of social users (by 2.1%), it managed to earn 1.2% more than in February.

The excellent performance of Boom Beach in SuperData is associated with the aggressive cross-promotion of the game in Clash of Clans.
