Japanese companies LINE and Gree have signed an agreement. They will create a division of Epic Voyage, Inc., which will promote mobile games on the LINE messenger platform.
The joint project of the two companies is designed to increase the potential of Gree as a game developer and expand the distribution network of LINE.
Jun Masuda, head of LINE’s strategic marketing department, noted that the messenger, thanks to its cooperation with the game industry, is becoming a gaming platform, and expressed hope that Epic Voyage, Inc. will help the company increase its influence on the global gaming market.
For Gree, the cooperation agreement with LINE is certainly a success, since the media company is not doing well.
