Samsung has begun expansion into the world of virtual reality: together with Oculus, the company introduced the Gear VR helmet.
Unlike the Oculus Rift, Gear VR will not require a wired connection to a PC. The user will interact with the helmet using the trackpad and head movements.
The virtual reality helmet will work on the basis of the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone. The device is expected to go on sale this year. The price is still unknown.
Feedback is coming from potential buyers: the idea is exciting, but both software and games for the device are still in development. Why do you need a helmet if there are no programs for it?
